i heart isabel marant..

how perfect are these isabel marant studded boots? these are on my priority wishlist for upcoming fall/winter.. they look comfy with that cool cone heel and can go with anything from a girly winter floral dress to skinny black pants as shown above for the continuing rock glam look.. whoever owns them i ENVY U! they are also really flattering with the loose fit around the ankle...

been a while since my last update.. busy working on upcoming projects in my life- involving food and fashion.. and of course busy taking care of the latest addition to my life- my yorkie pup nacho!

life is precious...

i went to Sundance film festival earlier this year... i was lucky enough to see some amazing films.. one of them the winner of the festivals Audience Award and the GranD Jury Prize for best drama, "Precious". This is probably the most powerful, moving and intense film i've ever seen.. and was amazed at a character in the film played by mariah carey- i thought she looked familiar but could not believe it was actually her. check out the trailer here and def check out the film when it's out later this year (November)...

watching last night's episode of american idol- songs from films, Chris sang a song that made me feel instant emotion... i couldn't put my finger on the name of film I'd heard it from.. i'm SO glad i looked it up... the song was "falling slowly" from the film "ONCE"...   an awesome indie flick about real people and music.. if you haven't seen it i highly recommend it.. especially if you're sick of big name hollywood films.. it even won best original song last year at the oscars.. i only just found that out too.. love the song- check it out here...

summer music in japan...!

getting super excited about going to summer sonic in Osaka Japan for the first time.. I've been to fuji rock festival 3 times in a row.. but feel like i'm too lazy to camp or hike around a mountain for music now.. don't get me wrong- that place is magical.. the Japs are awesome for music fests- food, cleanliness, discipline, friendliness.. that's why i'm checking out summer sonic this year- first time in Osaka too! the lineup has a pretty broad variety of bands- from commercial big names to awesome indie names.will be an interesting mix of people- love how the japanese appreciate all types of music.. wish hong kong masses could be more like that.. o wells.. can't wait to see Phoenix, mogwai, aphex twin, mervury rev, flaming lips, sonic youth, and of course my good friend tfong's friend's band iglu and hartley!!....check out the lineup here

just got back from working out- and only started to really get into it lately- realized if you don't have a tv or something to watch- music choice makes ALL the difference. Was so happy to find Turntables on the Hudson (vol. 4) in my ipod from eons ago.. (thx dj flojo!) and it was perfect- i'm not one to love house music and all the repetitive trancey dance stuff- but when it's done like turn tables on the hudson.. it hits the spot. i ended up running for 15 more mins due to the energy it gave me! check it out...

not the playstation -__- like i'm really someone who is into that.. it's Proenza Schouler's PS1 bag.. super sleek, super simple, super frickin beautiiful.. esp in grey! It finally hit the stores over here in HK- spotted it at Lane Crawford over the weekend- not like I can afford it though... anyone feel like buying me one? hehe... o wait maybe tfong can just give me hers =P
